As part of the Adelaide Writers Week, The City of Charles Stuart Libraries in South Australia is holding some exciting events of their own.
Not only are their Hindmarsh and Henley libraries hosting live streaming session of the event with FREE cheese platters and refreshments but their Findon library is also hosting an information session on publishing. These guys really know how to take care of their patrons!
The session, which is suitable for beginning and emerging writers will be run by Blaise van Hecke of Busybird Publishing. Blaise, who is also a writer, artist, photographer and blogger, and no stranger to running publishing workshops will be running the two hour session on the 3rd March.
The objective of the session is to ‘learn the avenues to getting published’. Whether you’ve already written a book and not sure on how to go about getting it published, or thinking of writing your own story and want some more information on what options are available for when your work is complete, this session is a great opportunity to meet with someone who has some strong knowledge and insight into the industry. It will hopefully answer some of those questions you have and give you a better understanding of how to proceed with publishing as well as what types of publishing are available for you to pursue.
Whilst all sessions are free, some bookings are required. For more information see the flyer below and visit the libraries event page.
